WHO WE ARE

This week's event

Formerly known as the Computer Science and Women in Computer Science Clubs, the purpose of this organization is to empower disenfranchised members in the Computer Science field such as —but not limited to— Women, Black, PoC, Undocumented, LGBTQIA+ and Disabled students in order to help them succeed and thrive as future Computer Scientists, Software Engineers, Data Scientists or any other related occupation. We want to provide internship, scholarship, and other opportunities so that our members might succeed in the Computer Science field while taking into account and being conscious of the ethics and societal impact of new and coming technology. We aim to edify and create awareness of these technologies and discuss how to combat the oppressive while developing the inclusive; we wish to bring more diversity into the field so that all of our communities are fairly represented and serviced in the development and deployment of new systems. While we are an organization focused on empowering underrepresented students pursuing CS, we welcome students of all majors and backgrounds in order to work towards our mission: serving and uplifting our community through ethical technology.
